Energize Missouri Water
The department has made Energize Missouri Water loans available through funding received from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This program provides low-interest loans for Missouri drinking water and wastewater facilities for energy efficiency projects.
The department anticipates awarding up to $10 million in financing with a 2.5 percent APR for eligible projects. The loan program will provide $50,000 to $1.5 million in funding for projects to update and improve facilities with measures that will result in reduced energy costs and energy savings. All funds will be paid upfront and applicants will have 18 months to complete their projects. Applications will be processed and awarded on a monthly basis until funding is exhausted.
Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to:
Light-emitting diodes (LED) lighting.
Lighting electrical systems and components.
Reduce wattage and specialty T8 and T5 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).
High intensity discharge (HID) (i.e. Metal halides).
Other lighting technologies not listed above are subject to approval by the department.
Building Envelope (non-residential, existing conditioned structures)
Insulation (min R-12).
Fenestration (solid wall vs. curtain wall).
IR coated films.
Air sealing and moisture control.
Refrigeration Management of Refrigerants
Management of refrigerants.
Other ventilation equipment not listed above is subject to approval.
Building entrance ways.
Shop floors (in lieu of heat lamps).
Heating ventilation and air conditioning.
High efficiency fans and motors.
Air-to-air heat exchangers.
Air turnover systems.
Insulation (min. 2” thick).
Timers and thermostats, together.
Boilers and furnaces.
Thermal storage systems.
VRF/VRV heating and cooling systems.
Other heating/cooling equipment not listed above is subject to approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Renewable energy systems, subject to approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Others not listed above are subject to approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
