Meramec River Sampling

During the historic flooding of December 2015, the Metropolitan Sewer District wastewater plant in Fenton, Mo., was completely submerged by floodwaters from the Meramac River. As repairs to the plant continue, the Department of Natural Resources regularly inspects the plant. The department conducted split sampling with MSD on the Meramec River downstream of the plant. The department also regularly sampled and monitored the Missouri American Water Company Meramec Plant, which is located downstream of the wastewater plant.

Sampling results of both the Meramec River downstream from the MSD Fenton plant and the Missouri American Water Company plant are available below.
