JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JUNE 30, 2008-- Learn about and see birds of prey at the Encounters of the Bird Kind program on Saturday, July 12. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, this event will be held in the Knob Noster Middle School gymnasium at 6 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
This raptor awareness program, presented by the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis, will feature live birds of prey such as falcons, owls and hawks. If conditions permit, some of the birds will be used in free flight demonstrations.
Knob Noster Middle School is located south of Highway 50 in Knob Noster, at the intersection of South Jackson Avenue and East Wimer. For more information, contact Knob Noster State Park
