CAPITOL CIRCLE DRIVE, BROADWAY STREET WILL CLOSE APRIL 25 FOR EARTH DAY EVENT

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 23, 2008 -- Capitol Circle Drive and a portion of Broadway Street will close temporarily on Friday, April 25, to accommodate the Department of Natural Resources' 14th annual Earth Day celebration.
Vehicle access to Capitol Circle Drive will be blocked from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for safety reasons. Street parking along the east side of the 200 block of Broadway Street will also be restricted.
Earth Day will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be spread out over the South Lawn of the Capitol Building. Booths, displays, entertainment and environmental games will be set up on a mobile stage, on sidewalks and in the grassy area south of the Capitol Building. The event is targeted toward students but is open to the public. Nearly 1,400 students are scheduled to attend.
