JEFFERSON CITY, MO., APRIL  22, 2008 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting Wednesday, May 7, to discuss issues related to Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site in New Madrid. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the historic site's office, and the public is invited.

Staff from the historic site will be present to discuss what has happened at the site during the past year. Visitors are invited to share comments on the historic site and its facilities.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services and facilities in state parks and historic sites.
