SOIL AND WATER DISTRICTS COMMISSION WILL MEET NOVEMBER 29

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 19, 2004 -- In conjunction with the Soil and Water Districts Training Conference, the Missouri Soil and Water Districts Commission will hold a joint meeting with the Missouri Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, followed by a regular business meeting of the commission. The joint meeting will begin at 8 a.m., Monday, Nov. 29, in the Parasol Room I/II at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach and the business meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the same meeting room.

At its regular business meeting, the commission will hear reports on district assistance, the cost-share program, and other business.

Two strategic planning workshops will also be held, on Monday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m., in the Parasol Room. In these sessions, the work completed during August area meetings will be developed further toward a statewide plan.
