INFORMATIONAL MEETING PLANNED NOV. 8

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 25, 2004 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Monday, Nov. 8, at Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in Ste. Genevieve. The meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Shaw House and the public is invited.

Discussions at the meeting will include the continuing project of furnishing the clerk's office in the Felix Vallé House and the proposed restoration work on the Bauvais-Amoureux House. Les Amis, the site's support group, is funding the restoration work. Staff will also give a brief summary of accomplishments in the past year. Visitors will be given the opportunity to ask questions and comment on the facilities.

The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

The Shaw House, part of Felix Vallé House State Historic Site, is located on the corner of Second and Merchant streets in Ste. Genevieve's historic district.
