Basket weaving classes offered at First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site

Jefferson City, Mo. - The public is invited to come out and learn a new skill and create a beautiful handmade item just right for gift giving or keeping as a treasured family heirloom. Basket weaving classes will be held at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site in St. Charles once a month from October through May.

These events are perfect for a group of friends or making new friends. Participants may register for all classes, or for one individual session, but class size is limited. All materials will be supplied and are included with the cost of the class. Class participants will walk away from each class with a newly learned talent and beautiful, hand-crafted basket.

A different project will be created with each class. Register today by calling the phone number below to create one of the following projects:

• Oct. 18: Square Cake basket ($35)
• Nov. 15: Blanket Basket ($50)
• Dec. 20: Wine Basket ($35)
• Jan. 10: Footed Kitchen Caddy ($30)
• Feb. 7: Car Caddy basket ($35)
• March 7: Handy Helper ($35)
• April 18: Market basket ($35)
• May 2: Picnic Caddy ($35)
