Department of Natural Resources to host pesticide pickup in Shelbina

Jefferson City, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will host a free pesticide collection event Sept. 27 in Shelbina. The collection is open to all Missouri farmers and households and will take unwanted pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags and fertilizers containing herbicides or pesticides.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Shelby County Fairgrounds located at 6762 Highway 15 in Shelbina. The event is the fourth and final event scheduled for 2014. In 2015, four or more events will be scheduled throughout the state.
