Informational Meeting and Fall Folk Concert at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site Sept. 14

Jefferson City, Mo. - The public is invited to bring their ideas to an informational meeting at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site on Sunday, September 14. The meeting will be held at 12 p.m. in the day use area. Following the meeting, the annual Fall Folk Concert will begin at 2 p.m.

Throughout the meeting, park representatives will provide information on future plans for the facility and answer questions. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about park services and operations. This informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by Missouri State Parks to ensure citizens have input regarding the facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.

The concert will feature Wil Maring and virtuoso guitarist and fiddler Robert Bowlin, who have been recently combining talents to create beautiful original acoustic music which straddles the fence between bluegrass, folk and country music. Maring’s beautiful airy vocal style and heartfelt lyrics have raised the eyebrows of the acoustic music world in recent years with the release of her three solo CDs and four band CDs. Bowlin is a two-time National Fingerpicking and Flatpicking Guitar contest winner.

Guests should bring a lawn chair for seating. Refreshments will be provided.
