Missouri State Parks hosts open house July 21 at Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site

The public is invited to bring their ideas to an informational meeting Saturday, July 21 at Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site near Stoutsville. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the meeting will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the birthplace’s shrine and museum. The meeting will cover Mark Twain State Park, Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site and Union Covered Bridge State Historic Site.
Representatives from the facilities will provide information on future plans for the facility and answer questions. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions about the facility. Refreshments will be provided.
Mark Twain Birthplace Memorial Shrine is located off of Highway U near Florida, Mo.
