Missouri Stream Teams to hold free introductory water quality workshop April 9 Registration ends March 30

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 29, 2011— Kirksville area residents interested in learning about monitoring the health of local streams and rivers are invited to attend a introductory water quality monitoring workshop on April 9.
The Missouri Stream Team will present the free workshop, which will include six hours of classroom instruction and up to two hours demonstrating sampling methods at a stream, at the Missouri Department of Conservation regional office, 3500 S. Baltimore in Kirksville. Participants in the workshop will learn to evaluate stream conditions and will be given an introduction to water chemistry.
