Open house planned Oct. 31 at Meramec State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., OCT. 19, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an open house on Sunday, Oct. 31, to seek input on Meramec State Park near Sullivan. The open house will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park's visitor center. The public is invited to attend.
Staff from the park will be available to discuss the park's current and future management plans and to answer questions about the park's features and operations. Visitors are invited to share comments on the park and its facilities. Refreshments will be served.
This open house is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Meramec State Park is located three miles south of Sullivan on Highway 185 in Franklin, Washington and Crawford counties.
