Public invited to share ideas during open house Sept. 25 for Katy Trail State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT., 14, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an open house on Saturday, Sept. 25, for the section of Katy Trail State Park between Matson and Portland. The open house will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Katy Trail State Park's trailhead at Marthasville.
Recent accomplishments and future plans will be highlighted during the open meeting. Agenda items will include a discussion on drainage and trail surface repairs in the trail corridor. Visitors are invited to share comments on the trail’s services and operations. Information about volunteer opportunities will be available.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services provided in state parks and historic sites.
Katy Trail State Park's Marthasville trailhead is located at the corner of Depot and One Street in Marthasville.
