Public invited to share ideas about Cuivre River State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JULY 23, 2010 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting Saturday, Aug. 14, at Cuivre River State Park near Troy. The informational meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in the amphitheater located in the campground and is open to the public.
During the meeting, recent accomplishments, including the beginning of the multi-use trail repair project and the clean up of Frenchman’s Bluff, will be discussed. Future plans including upgrades to the park’s infrastructure, the development of a mountain bike trail and the addition of a concession stand at the beach will be discussed. Visitors are invited to share comments on the park’s services and operations.
The informational meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that citizens have input on facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.
Cuivre River State Park is located three miles east of Troy on Highway 47.
