French candlelight evening planned June 12 at Felix Vallé House State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JUNE 1, 2010 -- Catch the spirit of a French evening social gathering Saturday, June 12 at Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in Ste. Genevieve. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, "La Veillée" will be from 7 to 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Listen to French folktales told in the site's garden and take candlelight tours of the Felix Vallé House. French folk dances, like the Gavotte de Pont Aven, will be performed and "Dance Discovery" will present a special historic dance program. Free refreshments will be available on the back porch.
