JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JUNE 1, 2010-- Enjoy a day with your family while learning about Missouri at the second annual Family Fun Day on June 12 at Arrow Rock State Historic Site in Arrow Rock. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
At 10 a.m., join local photographers in the site's visitor center for a presentation on photographing animals in Missouri. During the interpretive program, photographers will relate different experiences they have encountered as they seek the perfect animal photograph and give advice on how to capture your own. At 1 p.m. meet at the shelter house for an afternoon of family fun that will include making mammal tracks, identifying furs, and playing a variety of games such as volleyball and water games.
