Camden County Public Water Supply District #2 receives $9,416 water improvement grant

JEFFERSON CITY, MO MAY 13, 2010 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded Camden County PWSD #2 a $9,416 grant for drinking water system improvements.
The district will use the grant to fund improvements that include a generator for backup power and security fencing. The funds will be used in conjunction with a $9,416 match from the district and is expected to be completed in August.
The department sold $50 million in bonds in November 2007. The sale of the bonds allows the department to provide the district with grant funds to support the Clean Water Initiative for water and wastewater improvements.
The Department of Natural Resources’ Water Protection Program will administer the grant funds. The department is committed to working closely with communities to assist with funding efforts that support water and wastewater infrastructure improvement projects as well as provide a financial savings.
