Public invited to share ideas at an informational meeting regarding Bennett Spring State Park Oct. 23

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Friday, Oct. 23, at Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon. The informational meeting will be begin at 6 p.m. at the park's nature center's classroom and is open to the public.
Representatives from the park will provide information on future plans for the park and answer questions. The current fishing platform project will be discussed during the informal meeting. Visitors are invited to share comments and suggestions on the park's goals, objectives and new initiatives. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, the Department renovated Campground #1 and completed two playground upgrades.
Bennett Spring State Park is located 12 miles west of Lebanon on Highway 64.
