JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 20, to discuss issues related to Felix Vallé House State Historic Site in Ste. Genevieve. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Shaw House, and the public is invited.
Staff from the site will highlight the activities at the site's different facilities in the last year and will discuss activities and projects for the upcoming year. Visitors will be given the opportunity to ask questions and comment on the facilities. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, the Department continued the improvements to the historic landscaping at the Felix Vallé House and the Bauvais-Amoureux House.
The Shaw House, part of Felix Vallé House State Historic Site, is located on the corner of 2nd and Merchant streets in Ste. Genevieve's historic district. Persons requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling the historic site directly at 573-883-7102 or by calling the Department toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf ).
