JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Dillard Mill State Historic Site near Dillard. The meeting will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the site's office.
Staff from the historic site will present an overview of the site, discuss last year's developments and accomplishments, and review recent activities and repair plans for the mill and mill dam. The public is invited to share comments or ask questions about development or operations of the historic site. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, the Department recently stabilized the foot bridge leading to the mill and the Honeymoon Cottage, which serves as a pump house for the mill. Volunteers also put in a historic garden.
Dillard Mill State Historic Site is located one mile south of Dillard off Hwy. 49. People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling the historic site directly at 573-244-3120 or by calling the Department of Natural Resources toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
