JEFFERSON CITY, MO. - In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an open house Saturday, Sept. 26, at Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson. The open house will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the park's visitor center and the public is invited.
Discussions will be held on current and anticipated construction projects and new initiatives. Visitors are invited to share comments on the park's services and operations. Based partially on previous comments and input from the public, the Department upgraded the heating and cooling system in the park's dining lodge.
Sam A. Baker State Park is located four miles north of Patterson on Highway 143. Persons requiring special services or accommodations to attend the open house can make arrangements by calling the park directly at 573-856-4411 or by calling the Department toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800 379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
