JEFFERSON CITY, MO., SEPT. 4, 2009 -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting Saturday, Sept. 19, at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site in Burfordville. The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments at the site, such as improved lighting in the exhibit area, will be highlighted during the informal meeting. The Department has improved the lighting in the exhibit area and is presently working on replacing the current mill gates so visitors can once again experience milling demonstrations. Visitors are invited to share comments regarding site operations and facilities.
Bollinger Mill State Historic Site is located in Burfordville in Cape Girardeau County on Highway HH. People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling the site at 573-243-4591 or the Department of Natural Resources toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
