Public invited to share ideas during an informational meeting regarding Confederate Memorial State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting Thursday, Sept. 10, at Confederate Memorial State Historic Site in Higginsville. The informational meeting will be begin at 6:30 p.m. in the site's chapel and is open to the public.
Recent accomplishments at the park include window repairs and installation in the 1922 hospital building and new interpretive panels near the cemetery. These improvements and future plans will be highlighted during the informational meeting. Visitors are invited to share comments on the Confederate Memorial State Historic site's services and operations.
Confederate Memorial State Historic Site is located one mile north of Higginsville on Business Highway 13.
