Victorian Tea Party is July 11 at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., JUNE 30, 2009 -- Step back in time and enjoy a Victorian tea party on Saturday, July 11, at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site in Lexington. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anderson House and is open to the public.
Guests will enjoy a cup of tea, authentic food from Victorian-era recipes and create their own scrapbooking pages under the creative guidance of site staff. The tea party and scrapbooking is free, along with an open house of the Anderson House during the event. Regular guided tours of the Anderson House will be given at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon at the regular fees of $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for ages six through 12.
