JEFFERSON CITY, MO., -- In an effort to ensure that the public has an opportunity to provide input regarding services provided in state parks and historic sites, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources invites you to bring your ideas to an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 9, at Ha Ha Tonka State Park near Camdenton. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on the castle lawn and is open to the public. Following the meeting will be an outdoor concert by the Lake Area Community Orchestra.
At the meeting, park staff will highlight recent accomplishments like the new back entrance gate at River Cave. This project, a partnership between the park and the Springfield Plateau Grotto and Lake Ozark Grotto, provide better protection to this fragile and unique cave ecosystem. Also, a schedule for the "Something on Saturday" programs to be held during the summer will be available. You are invited to share comments and ask questions about the park and its services.
Ha Ha Tonka State Park is located five miles southwest of Camdenton off U.S. Highway 54 on Highway D. People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can make arrangements by calling the park at 573-346-2986 or the Department of Natural Resources toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419 (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf).
