Stop and Smell the Wildflowers April 25 at Onondaga Cave State Park

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., -- Enjoy the colors and smell of spring during a wildflower walk on Saturday, April 25 at Onondaga Cave State Park near Leasburg.  Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the walk will begin at 11 a.m. and is free and open to the public.

A park naturalist will guide you down the Blue Heron Trail to identify an array of wildflowers.  The trail is approximately one mile long, is flat and has a gravel surface.  During the walk, you will also learn about medicinal and edible uses for wildflowers.  Participants should meet in the park's visitor center for a short talk before the walk.
