Family fishing at Lewis and Clark State Park June 11

The entire family is invited to enjoy fishing fun at Lewis and Clark State Park.  The event will be held 2-5 p.m. on June 11 by the lake and at the Civilian Conservation Corps Shelter.

Guests can visit several stations and learn about casting, aquatic life and fishing in Missouri.  Fishing equipment provided by the Missouri Department of Conservation will be available for the first 25 in attendance, but must be returned upon leaving the lake area.

Lewis and Clark State Park is located at 801 Lakecrest Blvd in Rushville.  Missouri State Parks is supported by the one-tenth of one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of the budget to repair, improve and maintain state parks and historic sites. Missouri State Parks is a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
