Birds of prey program at Montauk State Park May 28

The public is invited to witness bald eagles, owls and hawks up close during a birds of prey program. The event will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 in the field adjacent to the Montauk State Park lodge.

Handlers will be discussing unique characteristics of different birds of prey, while visitors will get to experience the birds flying inches above their heads. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the viewing of the event. The program is presented by the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis and is free to the public.

Montauk State Park is located 22 miles southwest of Salem on Hwy. 119 in Dent County. For more information about the event, call the park at 573-548-2201.
