Stargazing at the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site Aug. 20
Guests are invited to a stargazing event at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 20 at the visitor center of the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site in Lexington.
Visitors can enjoy a program presented by the Kansas City Astronomical Association. Following the program, guests will have the chance to view the stars through telescopes on the battlefield.
The Battle of Lexington State Historic Site is located at 1101 Deleware Street in Lexington. For more information about the event, call 660-259-4654. Missouri State Parks is supported by the one-tenth of one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of the budget to repair, improve and maintain state parks and historic sites.
