Missouri State Museum offers children's programs during July

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 25, 2019 – The Missouri State Museum is offering a fun twist for its returning summer programming with interactive programs for all ages, Tuesdays in July. 

“Learning @ 11” is a series of interactive programs exploring various aspects of Missouri’s cultural and natural history, specifically focused on ages 4-7. Programs will be held from 11 to 11:45 a.m. each Tuesday during July. Dates and program themes are listed below:

July 9: Rattler Fact Roundup!
Lohman Building, Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St.
July 16: Hats Speak!
Lohman Building, Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St.
July 23: Murals, murals, everywhere! 
Missouri State Museum, First Floor, Missouri State Capitol, 201 W. Capital.
July 30: Make your own Rock Art.

“Tuesdays @ 2” is a similar program focused on ages 8-12 using activity-based programming. The dates and program themes will be the same as the “Learning @ 11” but the programs will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. each Tuesday.

Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the programs will be held in various locations through the Museum and Jefferson Landing State Historic Site in Jefferson City.  Check the date for location. For more information on the program, contact the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
