Stakeholder meetings serve a valuable purpose in connecting the department’s leadership with our customers. In 2012, the department began meeting with four-specific stakeholder groups. These four sector-based stakeholder meetings include agriculture, business and industry, local governments and environmental and conservation groups.

What is the purpose of the MoDNR Stakeholder Meetings?

The stakeholder meetings offer forums for open and candid dialogue on issues common to our respective organizations. Our main goal is to gain insights and input on Missouri’s challenges and opportunities in each of these important areas from our partners. The meetings will also provide an opportunity for the department to share some of our key initiatives and discuss how organizations can become involved. By meeting with these groups regularly, the department can stay ahead of the curve and ensure it is providing the best possible service to all of its customers. Toward the end of the calendar year, the department hosts a combined stakeholder meeting so that all groups may discuss common issues. We know your time is valuable, so we will make every effort to make this process efficient and rewarding.

The mission of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is to protect our air, land and water; preserve our unique natural and historic places; and provide recreational and learning opportunities for everyone.
