Carlton Flowers has been with the Department of Natural Resources since 1990, where he began with the Waste Management Program, and now works with the Air Pollution Control Program. Carlton works mainly with small businesses, but helps all of the regulated industry in completing construction permits, operating permits, emissions inventory questionnaires, and help with compliance and enforcement actions.
Prior to working for the department, Carlton worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as a highway design engineer, and also administered the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program. A civil engineer by training, Carlton has a wide variety of interests. His high level of energy is put to use in operating five separate businesses at present, and in teaching his "Power Strike" kickboxing aerobics class.
