The Human Resources Program provides assistance to the Division of Administrative Support and the 2,000-plus employees of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. As part of the Division of Administrative Support, our program administers the personnel policies and procedures of the Department and the State of Missouri.

Our program works to ensure that the needs of our employees -- our customers -- are met so they can take care of their customers, the citizens of Missouri.

Human Resources will determine eligibility on candidates that have requested to be considered and forwards the resumes to the hiring program to be reviewed. The hiring program conducts interviews and forwards the selected candidate to Human Resources for approval. Once Human Resources approval is given, the hiring program will offer the position to the selected candidate.

Biomass Policy Analyst in Jefferson City, Missouri

 

Under supervision of Planner IV, analyze and recommend biomass policies for the department/division and the State of Missouri. Duties focus on biomass-to-energy topics and include evaluation of biomass-to-energy technologies for viability and economical applications, policy recommendations to further the use of biomass resources for energy production, review of research to identify applicability of Missouri's biomass resources, interaction with Missouri universities to encourage appropriate biomass research priorities, and identification of companies to develop biomass energy projects in Missouri.  Facilitate and mediate energy issues for interagency work groups.  Job located in Jefferson, City, MO, at Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and/or Department of Economic Development (DED). Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biological Science or related field. Two years of experience in a biomass-related discipline or business.  Strong knowledge of federal and state energy policies, regulations and programs.
