Drinking Water Operator Training Voucher Program

In August 2004, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources began providing funding to help operators who work for qualifying systems to obtain and renew their certifications. 

Voucher funds are available to nearly 1,500 water systems through the voucher program.  Each qualifying water treatment system receives $950 worth of voucher funds and each qualifying distribution system receives $625 worth of voucher funds.  Vouchers may be used as payment for drinking water operator certification examinations, renewals, and voucher-approved water training.

Wastewater Treatment Operator Training Voucher Program

In August 2013, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources began providing funding to help operators who work for wastewater treatment facilities with domestic wastewater discharges of less than 1.0 million gallons/day flow and are required to be operated by a certified operator obtain and renew their certification(s).

Voucher funds are available to more than 600 wastewater facilities through the voucher program.  Each qualifying wastewater system receives $625 worth of voucher funds.  Vouchers may be used as payment for wastewater treatment operator certification examinations, renewals, and voucher approved wastewater treatment training.
