Drinking Water Operator Expense Reimbursement Grant Voucher Program

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources received over $3.1 million in federal funds in the form of a Drinking Water Operator Expense Reimbursement Grant. This money is being made available to help operators who work for public water systems serving populations of 3,300 and less obtain and renew their certification.

Grant money is made available to qualifying water systems through a voucher system. The voucher program began in August 2004. Vouchers may be used as payment for drinking water operator certification, examinations and renewals as well as voucher approved drinking water training.

A list of the water systems to receive vouchers for the 2012 calender year is now available. This list is subject to change as the Operator Certification Section receives updated information. The list is sorted by PWSID # and by water system name, and was last updated on Jan. 12, 2012. If there are any questions, please contact the Operator Certification Section at 800-361-4827 or by email at opcert@dnr.mo.gov.
