Hazardous Waste Information for Businesses, Schools and
Last updated May 3, 2017
Depending on what kind of waste you generate, your business, school or non-profit may fall under Missouri's hazardous waste regulations. This page provides information for those learning about how these regulations may affect their organization, and will serve as a handy resource for organizations.
Check out the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Web page, Typical Wastes Generated by Industry Sectors, to learn if your business may generate hazardous waste.
The Hazardous Waste Program also provides information to businesses about hazardous waste. You can sign up for the Enforcement and Compliance Assistance GovDelivery for Hazardous Waste Generators or the Operational Tanks Assistance Bulletin for Underground Storage Tank Owners, Operators and Consultants. Through these emails, you will receive regular detailed information about hazardous waste regulations and guidance to stay in compliance.
A full list of the Hazardous Waste Program's publications and fact sheets are available on the department's Publications page.
