Meet the Air Pollution Control Program Director
Kyra Moore is the director for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Air Pollution Control Program. Moore has worked in the department’s Air Pollution Control Program for more than 14 years, previously serving as a permit writer, construction permit unit chief and the permits section chief. She became the air director in July 2011. Moore oversees an Air Program that consists of approximately 106 full time positions, with duties that range from permit writing, rulemaking, compliance assistance and the vehicle inspection program. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri Columbia and is a resident of Columbia.
